You know how there are times when you’ve just had lunch and you instantly feel a craving for something sweet but it’s not yet snack time?
We’ve got some ideas on how you can easily make healthy dishes with a dash of your favourite kaapi.
Most of these recipes may seem similar, but since they use different ingredients, you are guaranteed to have even more fun making them and snacking on them at any time of the day.
Chocolate & Coffee Bars
It’s no secret that coffee and chocolate are two ingredients that complement each other so well.
For this recipe, you’re going to need brewed coffee, dark chocolate, coconut oil, oats, and vanilla extract.
Since the dish calls for coffee decoction and dark chocolate - both of which have health benefits - you won’t feel guilty munching on a bunch of these as they are a great alternative to sugary or deep-fried snacks.
To make it, all you need to do is melt the chocolate in coconut oil. While this has a thick and smooth consistency, add the oats, coffee, and vanilla extract, stirring the mixture continuously to spread the ingredients well.

Then, just pour it into a baking tray and refrigerate for at least 4-5 hours. Once it’s set, you can cut it into bars and store it in a tin can.
Coffee & Seeds Mix
While many people prefer adding seeds to their breakfast bowls, nutritionists also recommend munching on a seed mix in the mornings or evenings as a healthy snack.
This is super easy to make and doesn’t even require all that preparation.
Just pan-roast your choice of seeds, such as pumpkin, flax, chia, and sunflower seeds. Once the mix has cooled down, sprinkle a bit of ground coffee into it and store the mix in an airtight container.
What this does is it adds that aroma of coffee to each bite. The nuttiness of the seeds will balance out any bitterness, but make sure to not add too much.
Protein Coffee Balls
For anyone who doesn’t get enough protein from their food, these protein coffee balls are a great way to add some more nutrition to your diet.
You’re going to need ground coffee, oats, protein powder, almond butter, honey, and chia seeds.
This snack is high in protein, fibre, and healthy fats, giving you that boost of energy throughout the day. It’s also great for busy professionals and avid gym goers to carry these healthy bites on the go.
First, you’re going to mix the dry ingredients in a bowl - oats, coffee, protein powder, and chia seeds. Once this is evenly mixed, add some butter and honey. You’ll see a dough-like texture forming. Take spoonfuls of the batter and roll it into balls. After that, simply set it in the fridge for an hour or so.
Coco Mocha Pops
Pops don’t just have to be for birthday parties. They are easy to carry and eat even outside the house without being messy.

If you have oats, shaved coconut, ground coffee, cocoa powder, and maple syrup, you can make this snack quickly.
All you need to do is blend the ingredients in a food processor. Just like the previous recipe, roll them into balls, insert lollipop sticks, and refrigerate them.
This is a healthy snack to munch on because the coconut adds healthy fats to the recipe, and oats provide energy.
Coffee & Berries Yoghurt Bowl
Like all the recipes listed above, this snack can be prepared even if you only have 10-15 minutes to spare in a day. Plus, it is so refreshing and full of nutrients.
To a bowl, add yoghurt and mix in cooled coffee decoction. You can also use instant coffee powder if you prefer that. Try both variations and see which one tastes better for you.
Once you've got your coffee-flavoured yoghurt, top it off with berries and pour a dash of honey or maple syrup to add some more sweetness.
With so many delicious and easy healthy bites, you can enjoy guilt-free snacking all day.
